Sergei Chipiga

Sergei Chipiga has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Sergei started their career in 2009 as a System Administrator at ФГБОУ ВПО "КНИТУ" where they were responsible for local network organization and administration. After that, they worked as a QA Engineer and later as a QA Team Lead at FIX LLC, where they focused on software testing and quality assurance.

In 2012, Sergei joined Flatstack as a Web Developer, where they developed web applications using Ruby-on-Rails and CoffeeScript. Sergei also reviewed the code of junior developers.

In 2013, they moved to BARS Group CJSC as a Web Developer, participating in the development of "BARS. E-School" using Python, JavaScript, Django, M3, and ExtJS. Sergei successfully developed a distributed cluster with over 600 servers.

After that, they worked at Yandex as a Test Automation Engineer, specializing in UI automated testing and setting up testbeds on different operating systems.

In 2016, Sergei joined Mirantis as a QA Automation Engineer, where they focused on coordinating the stepler developers team, architectural solutions, code review, and test coverage for Openstack testing.

In 2017, they joined Derivco Estonia as a QA Automation Engineer and later became a Senior Automation Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for leading the automation team, selecting automation tools, and developing corporate automation tools. Sergei also rewrote inherited tests to a strong architectural framework and introduced JSDoc as a source code documentation generator.

Sergei then moved to Pipedrive in 2018, where they started as a Machine Learning Engineer, developing solutions for production AI and troubleshooting machine learning tools. Sergei also published articles on Medium related to ML code and AWS Lambda limits. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Backend Developer at Pipedrive, where they have worked on various open-source projects involving multithreading, multiprocessing, and nodejs debugging. Sergei has also developed a CouchDB adapter for a migration tool.

Sergei Chipiga pursued their education from 2003 to 2012 at the institution ФГБОУ ВПО "КНИТУ" and obtained a PhD degree in Engineering. Their field of study was focused on the Science and technology of advanced materials.
