Varsha Dourado

Varsha Dourado has over 20 years of work experience in business development. Varsha began their career in 1999 as Manager of Business Development at the Government of Ontario, Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2001, they moved to Advanced Tissue Sciences as Manager of Market Research and Business Development. From 2003 to 2005, they worked as a Consultant and then moved to Amylin Pharmaceuticals as Director of Business Development. In 2013, they became a Consultant in Business Development at Mirati Therapeutics Inc. and then in 2015, they worked as a Consultant in Business Development at HUYA Bioscience International and as Head of Business Development and Program Management at Viking Therapeutics, Inc. From 2017 to 2019, they were Head of Business Development for RNA medicines at Synthetic Genomics. Most recently, they have been Head of Business Development at Pipeline Therapeutics since 2021.

Varsha Dourado completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences/Chemistry from the University of Alberta between 1988 and 1992. Varsha then went on to earn their Master's Degree in Neuroscience from the University of Calgary between 1993 and 1995. Finally, they completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Technology Transfer from the University of Alberta between 1997 and 1999.
