Chad Zimmermann

Chad Zimmermann has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Chad started their career at Piper Aircraft in 2003, where they worked as a Powerplant and Mechanical Systems Engineer. Chad designed, assembled, and tested various systems for aircraft models such as PiperJet POC and Matrix/Mirage equipped with Garmin G1000. In 2011, they joined Honda Aircraft Company as the Environmental Control System Project Lead, overseeing the design, testing, and certification of environmental control and waste systems. Chad also managed offsite DERs, interfaced with suppliers and regulatory authorities, and reported the progress to the VP of Engineering and CEO. In 2014, Chad returned to Piper Aircraft as the Lead Powerplant and Mechanical Systems Engineer. Chad led a team responsible for designing, testing, and certifying powerplant and mechanical systems for various aircraft programs. Chad also managed schedules, manpower loading, and supplier interfaces while reporting progress to stakeholders. Chad Zimmermann earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Central Florida, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Cardinal Gibbons High School from 1994 to 1998. Chad also holds a certification in Powerplant and Mechanical Systems from Piper ODA UM, although the details of when it was obtained are not provided.
