Mitchell Cannon

Mitchell Cannon has extensive experience in the aerospace industry, currently serving as the ODA Administrator and Manager of Aircraft Certification at Piper Aircraft since May 2020. Prior experience includes serving as Director of ODA Programs/Certification at Gulfstream Aerospace from 2009 to May 2020, and various roles including Sr Manager at Piper Aircraft (1999-2010) and Sr Engineer positions at Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corporation and Cessna Aircraft Company. Early career roles include engineering and fabrication at Aircraft Conversions LLC and Square D by Schneider Electric. Mitchell Cannon holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. in Global Leadership from Lynn University and a Master's degree in Aviation Systems from the University of Tennessee Space Institute, in addition to a Bachelor's in Aeronautics from Middle Tennessee State University and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University. Further academic pursuits include certificates in Chinese Studies from Harvard Extension School and Ph.D. coursework in Aerospace Engineering from Wichita State University.
