Bill Johnston

Bill Johnston has extensive work experience in software engineering and management. Currently, they are working at Piper Networks as a QA Manager - Test Engineer, where they oversee test development, operations, and QA processes for the company's products. Prior to that, they worked at Pacific Computer Vision Ventures as a Lead S/W Engineer, where they designed and integrated computer and communications systems and mentored junior staff.

Before joining Pacific Computer Vision Ventures, Bill served as a Senior Software Engineer at Oracle Corporation. In this role, they worked on UNIX internals, device drivers, and utilities, firmware, network utilities, and naming services.

Bill's career started at Sun Microsystems as a S/W Engineer, where they worked for over a decade. Bill also gained software engineering experience at GET Engineering and IRT.

Bill Johnston has a strong educational background in the field of Information Technology and Computer Science. Bill received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in CS and Cognitive Science from UC San Diego, where they studied from 1979 to 1989. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Technology from the University of Redlands, studying there from 2000 to 2002.
