Dimitrios Paliyiannis

Dimitrios Paliyiannis has extensive work experience in the field of IT. Dimitrios started their career as a Software Engineering Specialist at Veropoulos d.o.o, where they worked with Ms/Micro focus COBOL and RPG II/III, as well as serving as an AS/400 Administrator. Dimitrios then joined Carrefour as an Information Technology Infrastructure Operations Manager, where they were responsible for managing Win2003 Server(AD), NTserver, and AS/400 administration. Later, they worked at Hellenic Ergonomic Technichal Company S.A as an IT Systems and Network Administrator, specializing in SQL Server and Win2003 Server(AD) administration. Dimitrios then moved on to International Service Oil S.A., where they held the role of Senior Software Development Engineer and was responsible for Ms-Navision administration and programming in Microfocus COBOL. Dimitrios also worked as an IT Systems and Network Administrator, handling Win2003 Server(AD) and Novell 3.x/4 administration. Dimitrios then joined First Data Corporation as a Senior Software Development Engineer, working with ZoS, Vision+, Cobol II, CICS, and VSAM. Dimitrios later joined Piraeus Bank as a Senior Software Developer, and then progressed to the role of Senior Software Engineering Manager. In their current role at Piraeus Bank, they serve as the IT Governance & Quality Assurance EcoSystem Manager and Lead Release Manager, managing a group of Release Coordinators. Throughout their career, Dimitrios has acquired various certifications and skills such as ITIL 4 Foundation and Azure DevOps.

Dimitrios Paliyiannis has a background in computer/information technology administration and management. In 1994-1996, they attended the Institute of Vocational Training - IVT, where they pursued a field of study in computer/information technology administration and management. Additionally, during the same period, they also attended the Authorized Educational Centre of I.B.M. (Online Computer Services S.A), specializing in information technology. Dimitrios further expanded their knowledge in computer software engineering by attending Lansoft in 2007 and 2015. In 2008, they received training from Microsoft Greece in the field of computer software engineering. Dimitrios received further education in 2012, 2020, and 2021, focusing on computer/information technology administration and management through various organizations such as Learning & Knowledge Sharing - Group HR Piraeus Bank, 12PM Consulting, FranklinCovey, and Infolab. In 2021, they also trained at Accenture Greece in the same field. Most recently, in 2022, they completed ITIL4. Foundation training at DOOR Training & Consulting, specializing in computer/information technology administration and management.
