Rachel Rui Dong

Rachel Rui Dong has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Rachel Rui is currently the Director of Pricing and Demand Planning at Pirelli since August 2022. Previously, Rachel worked at BASF, where they held multiple roles including Global Strategic Pricing Manager, Global New Business Development Manager, Team Leader, Staff Scientist, and Senior Scientist. At BASF, they played a key role in turning the business around and doubling EBIT within two years. Rachel Rui also spearheaded the implementation of global segment pricing strategies, developed and executed global processes and digital tools, and successfully launched new products. Prior to their time at BASF, Rachel worked at Ciba as a Senior Scientist, and at EPL Bioanalytical Services as a Senior Scientist/Study Director. Overall, Rachel has a proven track record of delivering financial results, driving profit growth, and establishing strong business relationships.

Rachel Rui Dong obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Marketing, Strategy, and Finance from NYU Stern School of Business between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2001 to 2006. Rachel Rui pursued their undergraduate studies at Shandong University, majoring in Environmental Science and Engineering, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from 1996 to 2000.
