Marianne Kukko

Marianne Kukko currently serves as the Dean at Häme University of Applied Sciences since February 2024, overseeing the School of Professional Teacher Education and its various programs, stakeholder engagements, and educational reforms in Finland and abroad. Prior to this role, Kukko was the Director of Haaga-Helia School of Vocational Teacher Education and played a significant role in managing vocational and special needs teacher education from August 2023 to February 2024. Additional board memberships include the Supervisory Board of Pirkanmaan Osuuskauppa, the Board of Suomen ainedidaktinen tutkimusseura, and Valomo Cooperative. Kukko's extensive experience also includes leadership positions at Tampere University and SASKY koulutuskuntayhtymä, focusing on organizational development, strategic reforms, and fostering collaborative networks within the higher education sector. Educational qualifications encompass a Doctor of Philosophy in Information and Knowledge Management and a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration, among other certifications in coaching and pedagogy.
