Richard Barnes

Richard Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Richard started their career at Tullet and Tokyo as a Link and Electronic Broker, where they facilitated trades between brokers and the floor team on the LIFFE floor. Richard then worked at Lincoln Financial Group as an Insurance Advisor and later joined ARK International Recruitment as an IT Recruitment Consultant.

In 2001, Richard joined Newedge as a Futures Broker, providing trade ideas and flow to a wide-ranging client base. Richard continued working in the futures brokerage industry at MF Global and JB Drax Honore, where they provided trade ideas, flow, and senior broker services to clients. Richard utilized Bloomberg and trading systems to generate trade ideas and execute trades effectively.

Richard's experience also includes working at Mint Partners as a Broker, where they provided liquidity for desk clients and executed trades using Fidessa. Richard worked as part of a team in this role and had regular use of Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg.

In 2016, Richard joined Mariana Capital Markets as part of the Derivative Execution Desk, where their responsibilities included executing live trades in equity futures and options, as well as block trades in equities and single stocks.

More recently, Richard worked at MARKET SECURITIES LLP as an F&O broker, providing trade ideas and flow in the futures and options market. Richard joined Pirum in 2021 as a Client Services Associate.

Throughout their career, Richard has consistently demonstrated skills in trade execution, client relationship management, trade idea generation, and market analysis.

Richard Barnes attended Alleyn's School from 1988 to 1993, where they completed their high school education. During this time, they focused on GCSE's, AS level, and A-level courses.
