Xiaofeng Tan

Xiaofeng Tan has a wealth of experience in the technology and engineering industries. Xiaofeng began their career in 2004 as a Postdoctoral Fellow with NRC Award at NASA Ames Research Center. Xiaofeng then moved to Stanford Research Systems, Inc. in 2006 as a Sr. Software Engineer. In 2009, they joined Cyberwit, Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer. In 2010, they became a Sr. Scientist at Spectral Sciences, Inc. In 2014, they were a Sr. Quantitative Developer at Akuna Capital and a Principal Chemometrics/Data Scientist at 1st Detect. In 2016, they were a Sr. Algorithm Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific. In 2018, they became the Director of Software/Algorithms and Applications Development at Block Engineering. Xiaofeng currently holds the role of Director of Machine Learning & Algorithms at Pison.

Xiaofeng Tan's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Chemistry/Theoretical Physics from Wuhan University, which was obtained between 1989 and 1993. Xiaofeng then obtained a Master's Degree in Chemical Physics from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics between 1995 and 1998. After this, they obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University between 1999 and 2001. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Physics from The Johns Hopkins University between 1998 and 2003.
