Brett Calhoun

Brett Calhoun is a General Partner and Co-Founder of Redbud VC, where efforts focus on building a pre-seed venture capital fund in middle America, investing across the U.S. Previously, Brett served as Director of Operations on the founding team of the Scale accelerator, which evolved into Redbud VC. Brett also holds roles at The Premiere Group, providing support for portfolio and acquisitions, and serves as an Adjunct Professor for the AACE student venture fund at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Additionally, Brett contributes as a Guest Contributor for TechCrunch and has co-founded and advised various initiatives, including Closing Cost Help, which assists veterans in home ownership. As the founder of The Junction and Mizzou Startup Community, Brett aims to foster connections among tech startup ecosystems. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Arkansas Tech University.
