Matthew Birtell

Matthew Birtell is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in videography and production. Currently serving as a Producer at Intersport since July 2016, Matthew has concurrently held roles including Freelance Videographer and Social Video Content Producer. As the Business Owner of Ascendant Media since January 2016, Matthew specializes in producing cinematic experiences through Vitae Sessions, which focuses on various media forms. Additional experience includes roles as a Camera Operator at Pitchfork and Creative Director at OzTech Media, along with significant positions at Northern Illinois University, where responsibilities spanned Video Coordinator, Operations Manager, and Media Manager for ESPN 3 Production. Matthew began the career in media services and technical direction in 2014, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Northern Illinois University obtained in 2017.
