Luke Waltman

Senior Engineer at Pitchly

Luke Waltman began their work experience in 2007 as a Program Manager at the Raikes School of Computer Science and Management, where they managed various technology projects and mentored students. In 2009, they worked as a Field Organizer for Jayne Snyder for City Council, recruiting volunteers and organizing field operations for the campaign. Later that year, Luke joined U.S. Senator Ben Nelson's team, initially as a Legislative Intern before becoming a Staff Assistant and then a Deputy Legislative Assistant. In these roles, they conducted research, responded to constituent contacts, and supported the legislative agenda in education and healthcare. From 2011 to 2013, Luke served as the Policy and Advocacy Manager at Malaria No More, advocating to the U.S. Congress in the fight against malaria and developing key policies. In 2013, they joined the Strategy Consulting company as a Consultant, where they created strategies for business development, communications, political campaigns, and policy. Luke also co-founded the We Vote Project, leading project management and outreach efforts. Luke co-founded Motionize in 2019 and currently serves as a Co-Founder. Finally, in 2022, they joined Pitchly as a Senior Engineer.

Luke Waltman attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
