Cristobal Herrero

Cristobal Herrero, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Piteau Associates Engineering since October 2022. Prior to this role, Cristobal worked as a Senior Consultant and Consultant at SRK Consulting from July 2015 to October 2022. Cristobal gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Colorado School of Mines from January 2012 to December 2013 and held a position as a Geotechnical Engineer at AKL between 2008 and 2011. Cristobal Herrero earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Mining and Earth Systems Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 2014, also obtaining a Master of Science in the same field from the same institution in 2011. The foundational academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Universidad de los Andes (CL), completed in 2008.
