Felip Ortuño

Felip Ortuño has a diverse range of experience in the field of hydrogeology and water management. Felip has held various senior roles in different companies and organizations throughout their career. Felip has worked on mining projects and groundwater modeling in countries such as the UK, South America, Spain, France, and Gabon. Felip has also been involved in projects related to water supply, aquifer modeling, artificial recharge, and climate change. Felip has provided inspirational leadership and contributed to business development in their roles as Technical Director, Associate Director, and Operations Manager. Felip has expertise in hydrogeological modeling, groundwater contamination projects, and heat transport models. Felip's work experience spans over three decades, starting in 1991 as an Associate Professor and continuing to their current position as a UK Operations Manager and Principal Hydrogeologist at Piteau Associates Engineering.

Felip Ortuño earned a Bachelor's degree in Geology/Earth Science from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where they studied from 1985 to 1991. Felip further pursued their studies at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Hydrogeology from 1998 to 2001. In December 2017, they also obtained the certification of European Geologist - Competent Person from the European Federation of Geologists.
