Myra Forster-van Hijfte has over 30 years of experience in the veterinary field. Myra began their career in 1989 as a Veterinary Surgeon at DAP St. Oedenrode. In 1996, they founded Feline Referrals, a limited company for their Consultancy Business. In 2005, they co-founded and became the Managing Director of North Downs Specialist Referrals. In 2015, they became the Director of Referral Hospitals for the Linnaeus Group. From 2017 to 2021, they served as a Non Executive Director and Angel Investor for PitPat, Board Trustee for the British College of Veterinary Specialists, and Assistent Editor Vet Evidence for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Currently, they are a Student Masters One Health at the University of Glasgow and a Member of the bioethics committee for Vaxcontrolgroup.
Myra Forster-van Hijfte obtained their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Ghent and Royal Veterinary College in the field of Small Animal Internal Medicine. Myra also holds several certifications, including the EDWARD JENNER LEADERSHIP FOR VETERINARY PROFESSIONALS: YOUR LEADERSHIP SELF NHS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY AND ROYAL COLLEGE OF VETERINARY SURGEONS from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) in November 2018, DVM, CertVR CertSAM DipECVIM FRCVS from RCVS and ECVIM, and Dip Institute of Directors from IoD u.k.
