Regina YC Garcia has served as a Professor of English at Pitt Community College since May 1999, focusing on preparing college students to succeed in English courses, curriculum planning, mentoring adjunct instructors, and advising students on their academic journeys. Additionally, Regina coordinated Global and Multicultural Programming and the PCC Scholars of Global Distinction Program. Prior experience includes roles as a Professor and Basic Skills Instructor at Snapdragon: A Journal of Art & Healing, as well as Assistant Poetry Editor, Job Coach/Job Developer at ECVC, and Probation/ Parole Officer for the State of North Carolina. Regina holds a Master's degree in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching from East Carolina University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
