Cate Irvin, MPH, serves as the Senior Director of Economic Development at the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, previously holding the position of Director of Economic Development. Irvin has extensive experience in urban development, with roles as Director and Manager of Placemaking and Activation at the Oakland Business Improvement District. Prior experience includes serving as Public Engagement and Policy Coordinator and Public Space Coordinator for the City of Chattanooga. Academically, Cate Irvin holds a Master of Public Health in International Health & Development from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Emmanuel College in Boston. Additionally, Irvin has worked as an Adjunct Professor and Primary Researcher at Tulane University, and as a Research Assistant at HEALTH Alliance.
