Susan Wiedel

Susan Wiedel has a diverse professional background in writing, editing, and fundraising. Currently serving as the Grants & Annual Fund Coordinator at Pittsburgh Mercy since January 2024, Susan previously held the position of Leadership and Legacy Giving Specialist at Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, where responsibilities included developing communications to engage donors and educate the community on various programs. Freelancing as a writer and editor since November 2015, additional experience includes editorial roles at the University of Pittsburgh, where contributions enhanced Pitt Magazine and other publications. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in English Nonfiction Writing and a Certificate in Latin American Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, complemented by a Spanish Minor.
