Kristin Ward

Assistant Head Of Props at Pittsburgh Opera

Kristin Ward has extensive experience in the performing arts, currently serving as the Assistant Head of Props at Pittsburgh Opera since October 2021. In addition, Kristin has been the Artistic Director and Performer at Moquette Volante since June 2008, creating theatrical storytelling shows that showcase Silk Road folklore through a mix of middle eastern dance, music, and spoken word. Alongside this, Kristin holds roles as a Props Assistant and Senior Arts Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama, with involvement dating back to 2004. Kristin also performed and taught Arabic style belly dance with Morgiana Belly Dance from 2004 to 2012. Educationally, Kristin earned a BA in Theatre Arts and French from Nazareth University from 1996 to 2000 and received a Group Exercise Certification from AFAA in 2010.
