Sebastian Vera

Principal Trombone at Pittsburgh Opera

Sebastian Vera is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in both teaching and performance. Currently a Faculty Lecturer at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Sebastian teaches Musical Entrepreneurship and Digital Media and offers coaching in chamber music. As an Adjunct Professor of Trombone at Duquesne University and Principal Trombone at Pittsburgh Opera and River City Brass, Sebastian has demonstrated a strong commitment to both performance and education. Additionally, Sebastian co-founded the Third Coast Trombone Retreat, which began in June 2014. With a Master's degree in Trombone Performance from The New School and a Bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University, Sebastian has also served on the faculty of Slippery Rock University and Youngstown State University, and performed with the Guidonian Hand Trombone Quartet.
