Russell Patterson, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the education sector. From 2006 to the present, they have worked at Pittsburgh Public Schools. Russell started as a 3rd-grade teacher and then moved up to the position of Assistant Principal. Currently, they hold the role of School Principal. In 2002, they worked as a Kindergarten/1st-grade teacher at Pittsburgh Public Schools. In 2021, they also served as a Candidate for Region 2 School Director at Pine-Richland School District.
Russell Patterson, Ph.D. completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001. Russell subsequently pursued a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Elementary Education and Teaching, completing it in 2002 at the same institution. Later, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Reading Education from the University of Pittsburgh, which they earned in 2011.
