Shaunda McDill

Shaunda McDill serves as the Managing Director of Pittsburgh Public Theater since February 2023 and has been the Founder of DEMASKUS Theater Collective since March 2005, focusing on amplifying the voices of marginalized communities through theater. McDill also contributes to academia as Adjunct Faculty at Carnegie Mellon University, and previously held the position of Program Officer for Arts and Culture at The Heinz Endowments from October 2017 to February 2023. Additional professional experience includes roles such as Publicist at BLAKE ZIDELL & ASSOCIATES, LLC, and Director of Public Relations for The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, where responsibilities included media coordination and event promotion. McDill's earlier positions encompass roles in education and programming at institutions such as the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, Mastery Charter Schools, and the Center for Urban Biblical Ministries. McDill holds an MFA in Theater Administration from Yale University and a BA in African and African American Studies with Drama from Dartmouth College.
