Christy Gentry

Christy Gentry has a diverse work experience spanning marketing, public relations, and communications. Christy is currently working as an Account Executive at Pivot since October 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Public Relations at Studio West, a boutique communications firm, starting in February 2012. Christy also served as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds & Event Center from February 2017 to May 2020. Christy has experience in managing national and international media relations, strategizing road maps for events, managing budgets and ad buys, and analyzing performance.

In addition, Christy worked as the Director of Public Relations at Celebrate Napa Valley from March 2017 to September 2019, where they directed and implemented programs and campaigns. Christy also held the role of an Account Executive at Wolf Communications & Public Relations from January 2015 to December 2018, where they developed high-level strategies for PR programs in the lifestyle industry. Prior to that, Christy worked in communications at the Redwood Empire Food Bank from August 2014 to May 2016, where they created impactful communications to inspire the community.

Christy's earlier roles include Marketing & Publicity at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds and Exposition, Inc. from April 2012 to August 2014, Marketing Volunteer at the Napa Valley Film Festival from September 2011 to November 2011, and Hospitality & Sales at Rios Wine Company from October 2010 to October 2011. Christy began their career as a Marketing Manager at CPI International from January 2008 to September 2009.

Christy Gentry completed their Associate in Art degree with a focus on Social and Behavioral Science at Santa Rosa Junior College between 1994 and 2010. Christy then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing at Sonoma State University from 2011 to 2012. In 2019, they enrolled in Northwestern University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Communications in 2020, specializing in Communication, General.
