Richard Kottmeyer

Richard Kottmeyer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the food, agriculture, and beverage sectors. Currently serving as the Managing Director and Practice Leader at Pivot since January 2025, Richard leads a team that supports various facets of the industry, from inputs to food retail. Additionally, as a Round Table Fellow at Farm Foundation since February 2012, Richard leverages expertise in technology and consumer science within a prestigious think tank. Previously, Richard was a Senior Business Advisor at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP and a Senior Policy Advisor for the US Government, focusing on critical issues such as food security and conflict reconstruction. Richard also headed operations as Managing Director at FTI Consulting, offering consulting services globally in performance improvement and restructuring. Richard holds a JD from Saint Louis University School of Law and a BA in Early Christianity, History, and Philosophy from Washington University in St. Louis.
