Debra Frimerman

Debra Frimerman is a seasoned legal and business development executive currently serving as the Chief Legal Officer and Chief Business Development Officer at Pivot Bio since 2023, focusing on new revenue streams and strategic partnerships. Prior experience includes roles as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Calyxt from 2019 to 2023, where oversight included legal compliance and public governance. At Syngenta from 2012 to 2019, Debra was Associate General Counsel, advising on a range of corporate matters. Earlier, Debra practiced corporate law at Stoel Rives LLP and Lindquist & Vennum, where significant contributions were made during economic challenges. Debra holds a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School and a BA in Economics and English from UC Santa Barbara.
