Ian McLaughlin

Ian McLaughlin, AIA, is an experienced architect currently working at Pivot North Architecture since October 2019. Prior experience includes serving as Project Lead at Teass Warren Architects from February 2017 to August 2019, where Ian developed various projects from schematic design through to construction administration, including single-family homes, historical renovations, and large mixed-use developments. Ian also held the position of Job Captain at KTGY Group, Inc. from July 2013 to January 2017, managing the production of construction documents and coordinating project tasks while ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations. Ian's earlier career includes roles as a graduate student at the University of Kansas, focusing on master planning, and contract work at Sabatini Architects Inc., where construction drawings for a state field station were developed. Additionally, Ian gained initial experience as an architectural intern at Pulse Design Group, concentrating on healthcare facility design. Ian earned a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) from the University of Kansas in 2013 and completed architecture coursework at UNSW in 2011.
