Wei Zheng has over 20 years of work experience in the software engineering field. In 1996, they began working as an Embedded Software Engineer at Fluke Corporation, where they designed software drivers for ATM, Frame Relay, and point-to-point IP network troubleshooting equipment. In 1999, they moved to AT&T Wireless as an Embedded SW Engineer, where they designed software device drivers for T1 framer, HDLC controller, and PCI bridge with pSOS for MPC860-based telecommunications hardware of Fixed Wireless System base station. From 2000 to 2009, they worked at Broadstorm as a Network SW Engineer, where they designed and developed for the full cycle of an IP-based wireless network system. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Linux SW Engineer at F5 Networks, where they designed and debugged software in C/C++ for network switches on a Linux platform. From 2011 to 2017, they worked at Vertiv Co as a Senior Embedded SW Engineer, where they designed and debugged software in C/C++, Java for Data Center control equipment on eCos and (embedded) Linux platform with ARM processors. Since 2017, they have been a Principal Embedded SW Engineer at Pivotal Commware\u00ae.
Wei Zheng obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University. Wei then completed a Master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Washington in 2000. In 2018, they earned a Machine Learning certification from Coursera. In 2008, they obtained a C++ Certificate from the University of Washington Extension Program. Most recently, in 2021, they earned an Embedded System Security certification from Doulos.
