Chia-An Fu

Chia-an Fu currently serves as the Lead Technical Director at Pixar Animation Studios, contributing to the upcoming project "Hoppers" (2026) and previously worked as a Technical Director on notable films such as "Elio" (2024), "Elemental" (2023), "Lightyear" (2022), as well as "Turning Red" (2022) and "Luca" (2021) as part of the Technical Director - Resident role. Prior to joining Pixar, Chia-an was involved in academic roles at Texas A&M University, including as an Instructor of Record and a Program Aide in the Department of Visualization, where contributions included setting up a cloud-based pipeline for student projects. Chia-an also has experience in product development engineering at AMD, where responsibilities included characterizing product performance and improving production pipeline robustness, and has a strong educational background with a Master of Science in Visualization and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from Texas A&M University.
