Michael Yates

Michael Yates has extensive experience in the animation industry, currently serving as a Director and Writer at Pixar Animation Studios since February 2015, with notable works including "Win or Lose." Prior experience includes roles as a Story Artist for projects such as "Cars 3," "Toy Story 4," and "Soul" at Pixar, as well as a Story Artist at DreamWorks Animation for a brief period in 2014. Michael Yates also completed an internship in Story Art at Pixar in 2013 and interned as a Story Artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios in mid-2012. Additionally, freelance work as a Story Artist was undertaken at Neko Productions from 2012 to 2013. Michael Yates holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Animation from Ringling College of Art and Design, where attendance spanned from 2010 to 2014.
