Ilya Baskin has extensive experience in various roles in the field of system engineering, physics, and electro-optics. Ilya is currently serving as the System Engineering Team Lead at PixCell Medical since 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Team Lead for Physics and Electro-Optics of Bolometric Infrared Sensors at an undisclosed company from 2013 to 2021. Ilya also gained valuable experience as a Post-doctoral fellow at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, EE department from 2011 to 2013, where their focus was on the design and fabrication of a superconducting nanowire single photon detector (SNSPD) and building opto-mechanical cavities on the tip of an optical fiber.
Ilya Baskin earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2003. Ilya went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from the same institution in 2011.
