Meaghan Hartie has extensive work experience in the gaming industry. Meaghan started their career as a Student Technician at The University of the Arts in 2008. Meaghan then interned at Games for Change in 2010 and Fresh Planet in 2012, where they primarily focused on game design and testing. Meaghan joined ESRB in 2011 as a Tester, responsible for testing console and downloadable games. Meaghan later became a Game Tester at ESRB in 2013, where they tested mobile and console games and assigned age and content ratings. Additionally, they transcribed test findings into the ESRB database.
In 2012, Meaghan interned at Muse Games as a Game Design and Community Management Intern, where they developed and balanced versions of a multiplayer combat game and reported bugs and suggestions for improvement. Meaghan continued their work at Muse Games in 2013 as a Game Design and Community Management, focusing on the development and balancing of the game, as well as designing and implementing reward and achievement systems.
Meaghan then joined Kognito in 2018 as a Lead QA Tester, where they managed project expectations, coordinated with QA contractors and development teams, prioritized and drove task planning, and implemented quality assurance methodologies.
In 2022, Meaghan worked as a QA Lead at both Tilting Point and Wicked Realm Games, overseeing quality assurance processes and ensuring the successful delivery of game projects. Meaghan is currently working as a Senior QA Analyst 2 at Pixelberry Studios, a position they started in 2023.
Meaghan Hartie completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Multimedia with a minor in Game Design from The University of the Arts. Meaghan attended the university from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, they hold several additional certifications. In November 2019, they obtained a certification in Programming Foundations: Software Testing/QA from LinkedIn. In the same month, they also obtained a certification in Project Management Foundations from LinkedIn, which was obtained in 2016. Furthermore, Meaghan obtained a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from Scrum Alliance in March 2020.
