Mahmoud Rahnama

Mahmoud Rahnama is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the visual effects and digital media industry. Currently serving as Chief Innovation Officer at PIXOMONDO since April 2011, Mahmoud has held various leadership roles, including Head of Studio and VFX Supervisor. In addition, Mahmoud has been a dedicated educator at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology since September 2006. As the founder of the Virtual Production Academy from January 2020 to October 2022, Mahmoud contributed to advancing industry knowledge and skills. Prior experience includes positions at Gallus Entertainment and C.O.R.E Digital Pictures, where Mahmoud excelled as a CG Supervisor and Lead VFX Artist, among other roles. Mahmoud holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Digital Media from Ryerson University, and has studied Visual Effects for Film & Television, Multimedia, and Computer Animation.
