Luke Barley is a seasoned transportation professional with extensive experience in program management and transport planning. Currently serving as Principal Consultant at PJA since January 2024, Luke has previously held key roles, including Principal Transport Planner at Mott MacDonald from October 2018 to January 2024 and Senior Transport Planner at various organizations including SYSTRA. Notably, Luke played a crucial role in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games as part of Transport for West Midlands. With a strong background in economic growth initiatives through secondments such as Programme Coordination at Highways England, Luke has a solid educational foundation with an MSc in Sustainability from the University of Leeds and a degree in Ecology and Environmental Management from Nottingham Trent University.
