Waldek Wasowicz has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Waldek is currently the Chief Executive Officer at PKF South Africa since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as an Exco member at the same company starting from February 2021. Waldek also has a long tenure at PKF Octagon, where they started as a Partner in August 2003 and later became the Managing Partner. Waldek is responsible for brand and marketing as a member of the Executive team. Additionally, Waldek has served as an Advisory Board Member at FNB Xero Accounting Practice Support Programme since May 2021. Waldek co-founded PKF Ignite in 2019 and has also held the role of Treasurer at Headway Gauteng since June 2020. Their career started as a Trainee Accountant at Ernst & Young from January 2000 to August 2003.

From 2021 to 2021, Waldek attended Harvard Business School Online, where they pursued a program in Leading Professional Service Firms with a focus on Organizational Leadership.

In 2003, Waldek studied at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completing a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Accounting.

Prior to that, from 1998 to 2002, Waldek attended North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting.

In terms of additional certifications, Waldek became a Chartered Accountant through SAICA CA(SA) in June 2005. Waldek also acquired the qualification of Register Auditor from The Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors in June 2005.
