Mike Kornacki, MS-UXD, has a diverse background in user experience design and leadership positions. Their most recent role is Director of User Experience Design at PKWARE, where they are responsible for building and leading a team to elevate the overall user experience across PKWARE products. Mike also created and executed a vision for a unified user experience across two separate companies under the PKWARE umbrella.

Prior to PKWARE, Mike held various UX leadership roles at Johnson Controls, where they were in charge of building a world-class design organization and establishing a user-centered design culture within the company. Mike led a team of 20 UX designers, developers, researchers, and strategists, and moved UX out of engineering and into its own pillar in the organization.

Mike also has experience as a creative director, web developer, and owner at Hello Goat Designs, LLC, where they collaborated with their partner Angela Kornacki on graphical design requests. Mike co-founded mkeUX, a group focused on creating digital user experiences. Additionally, Mike worked as a UX architect and web design manager at Trisept Solutions, where they developed e-commerce user experiences and led research and development in emerging web and mobile technologies.

Earlier in their career, Mike was a creative director at RR Group, where they managed a creative team and developed strategies for brand recognition. Mike also worked as a web designer at Big Hammer, where they designed e-commerce storefronts, and as a marketing director/webmaster at @Link networks, where they launched and managed the marketing department.

Mike Kornacki, MS-UXD, received their Master of Science degree in Information Architecture & Knowledge Management from Kent State University. Mike pursued this degree from 2015 to 2017, specializing in the field of User Experience Design. Prior to that, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Parkside from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Their focus during their undergraduate studies was on Painting and Lithography.
