Josiah Ubben

Josiah Ubben is the current Head of Design at PLACE. Josiah has over 9 years of experience in the design industry, including 5 years as Creative Director and Product Manager at Ben Kinney Companies. Josiah also has 3 years of experience as an Interaction Design Instructor at Western Washington University.

At PLACE, Josiah leads a team of 20+ creatives in the disciplines of product design (UI/UX), web design, branding and visual design, and product management. PLACE is a company that is simplifying homeownership through innovative technology and services. They do this by designing solutions to help real estate professionals automate their daily tasks, and by helping consumers experience the dream of homeownership.

Prior to their current role, Josiah was a Real Estate Agent at Keller Williams Western Realty for 1 year and 4 months. Josiah has also been running their own design and branding company, Josiah Ubben Design + Branding, for the past 9 years. Some of their past clients include Pro.com, Bicycle Adventures, SendinBlue, Rival IQ, San Juan Island Distillery, The Woods Coffee and Wolf-Tek Mobile GIS.

Josiah Ubben graduated from Western Washington University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Journalism / Internet Resource Creation and Management. Prior to that, they earned their Associate's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from South Puget Sound Community College in 2013. Josiah also has a Graphic Design certification from New Market Skills Center and a Web Content Developer Certificate from the WWU Internet Studies Center.
