Dr. Chlump Chatkupt

Dr. Chlump Chatkupt has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.

In 2002, Dr. Chatkupt started their career as an Intern Analyst at the Fiscal Policy Research Institute of the Ministry of Finance of Thailand.

From 2004 to 2007, they worked as an Economic Research Associate at Blue Canyon Partners, Inc., where they managed Fortune 500 clients, negotiated contracts, and led projects in economic research and mathematical modeling.

In 2007, Dr. Chatkupt founded their own company, Chlump Chatkupt, where they served as the Founder and Managing Director until 2008.

In 2009, they briefly worked as an International Clerk in the Capital Markets & Securitization Practice Group at Baker McKenzie.

From 2010 to 2015, Dr. Chatkupt worked as an Independent Researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

In 2016, they founded PLACEMAKE.IO, where they currently hold the position of Founder and CEO. PLACEMAKE.IO is a leading provider of critical location data and analytics for the real estate community and beyond.

Starting in 2016, Dr. Chatkupt also served as an Advisor to The Tomorrow Fair until 2017.

Most recently, in 2022, they became a member of the Data Research and Academia Steering Group at The RED Foundation.

Dr. Chlump Chatkupt completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Northwestern University, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. Dr. Chlump then pursued a Master of Arts in Philosophy from New York University, graduating from the program in 2010. Dr. Chatkupt furthered their education by enrolling in The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics in 2015.
