Roy Valler

VP, Data at Placer.ai

Roy Valler is the current VP of Data at Placer.ai. Prior to this, they were the VP of Risk and Data at At-Bay from November 2019 to October 2020. Before that, they were the Data Science Leader at Intuit from January 2018 to November 2019. Roy has also founded T-Squad in May 2016 and was with PayPal from October 2010 to April 2016, where they were the Senior Manager of Risk Data Acquisition.

Roy has extensive experience in building fraud detection solutions and designing risk management processes. Roy has led a group of product, engineering and analytic teams in San-Jose and Tel-Aviv (4 teams, >20 employees). Roy is also the co-lead R&D of a Big Data Analytics product (PIG over Hadoop) aimed at detection of large scale fraud rings. The product utilizes advanced learning algorithms combined with analytic insights, to detect traces of fraudulent activity, providing 20MM$ in loss savings annually.
