Eric Fortney

Eric Fortney is an accomplished Software Engineer at Plaid since May 2019, where responsibilities include guiding project discovery through data-driven insights, leading a major product's rearchitecture that significantly reduced latency, and building data extractors that process millions of hits per hour in TypeScript. Previous experience includes a Data Science Internship at Adobe, developing tools for high-volume client data analysis, and a Researcher/Programmer role at Pico Labs, focusing on an open-source IoT system. Additional leadership roles were held at Philmont Scout Ranch, co-directing high ropes activities, and camp counseling with the Boy Scouts of America, fostering teamwork and conservation skills. Fortney holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Statistics degree with a Data Science emphasis from Brigham Young University.
