Melissa Potapova

Melissa Potapova is the Head of Legal at Plaid. Melissa has over 13 years of experience as an attorney, specializing in commercial contracts, litigation, and product claims. Prior to joining Plaid, they were the Legal Counsel for Simplified Lending Solutions LLC, a secure cloud-based software platform that offers nationwide solutions from leading industry partners. Potapova began their career as an intern at IBM Research and later worked as a summer associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates. Melissa is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law.

Melissa Potapova graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government as well as Russian Language and Literature. Melissa then went on to attend The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, earning their Doctor of Law degree.

Melissa Potapova reports to Meredith Fuchs, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary. They work with and Sheila Jambekar - Chief Privacy Officer.
