Michael Mentrek

Copy Desk Chief at Plain Dealer Publishing Co.

Michael Mentrek began their work experience in 1979 as a Copy Editor for The Express. Michael later became a News Editor at The Express in 1983 before moving on to work at The Plain Dealer in 1986. At The Plain Dealer, they held various roles including Copy Editor, Deputy Copy Desk Chief, and currently serves as the Copy Desk Chief.

Michael Mentrek attended Penn State University from 1975 to 1979, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
