Jennifer Smith

Jennifer Smith is an experienced healthcare professional with a diverse background in nursing and project management. Currently serving as a School Nurse at Plainedge School District since November 2009, Jennifer focuses on community health management for a population of approximately 600 faculty, staff, and students. Previously, Jennifer held the position of President at Next Wave Technologies from 1993 to 1997, where responsibilities included project management for pharmaceutical firms and coordination of various marketing and educational initiatives. Additional experience as an Oncology Sales Representative and Pharmaceutical Sales Rep at Schering and Schering Plough, respectively, involved promoting allergy, asthma, and oncology products to healthcare providers. Jennifer's nursing career began at Good Samaritan Hospital, where duties included serving as a Medical Surgical Nurse and Assistant Charge Nurse. Educational qualifications include a BSN in Nursing from Stony Brook University, obtained between 1983 and 1987.
