Kathleen Cantelmo is an experienced educator and literacy coach with a comprehensive background in teaching and literacy development. Currently serving as a Literacy Coach at Plainedge School District since August 2021, Kathleen previously worked as an Academic Intervention Service Teacher at Levittown Public Schools, focusing on elementary math and ELA from September 2018 to April 2022. Kathleen's extensive 17-year career with the NYC Department of Education included roles as an elementary school teacher, covering grades Pre-K through 4. Additionally, Kathleen has experience as a Literacy Specialist and Evaluator at Hofstra University, where evaluations and student sessions were conducted. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Literacy Studies and a Bachelor's of Arts in Communications and Elementary Education from Molloy University and Hofstra University.
