James REBOURS has a diverse range of work experience in various companies. James currently serves as the Chairman of SELL, where their role involves representing and promoting the interests of the video game industry to the French government and media. James also works towards developing the French Games ecosystem and leveraging events like Paris Games Week for video game recognition.
Prior to their current role, James was the Managing Director of France and European Business Development Director at PLAION. James has also held positions at SPB Group, where they served as the Director of International Services and Head of Italy, Germany, and Project Director.
James has a background in investment as well, having been an Investment Committee Member at Network Finances, an investment company dedicated to internet, e-commerce, mobility, and digital media markets. James provided mentoring, strategic and operational support, and a professional network to early-stage start-ups.
Additionally, James has experience in interim management, having served as the Managing Director of Missions, where they worked on operational commitments to help companies structure their development or turnaround. James has also worked at Sega, holding various positions including Managing Director for France, Germany, South Europe, and GSA.
Earlier in their career, James was the VP of Sales and Marketing at Monte Cristo Multimédia and the Managing Director at Photoways. James was responsible for the launch, development, and implementation of new organizations and acquisition strategies for these companies.
James started their career at Konami, where they held roles as the Country Manager and Sales Director.
James Rebours attended EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht from 1984 to 1989, where they studied Marketing & International Strategies. In 1987, they also briefly attended Universidad Autonoma Madrid, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
