Oliver Nickel

Oliver Nickel has extensive work experience in the field of communications. Oliver currently holds the position of Head of Communications at PLAION since September 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Communications Manager GSA at PLAION from August 2022 to October 2023. Before joining PLAION, Oliver worked at Koch Media GmbH as a Senior Communications Manager GSA from December 2020 to August 2022. From April 2016 to November 2020, they served as a PR-Manager at SZ Scala. Prior to that, they worked as a Junior PR Consultant at Sueddeutscher Verlag onpact from July 2014 to March 2016. Oliver began their career as a Junior PR Consultant at Marchsreiter Communications in March 2013 and later worked as a PR-Trainee from March 2012 to February 2013.

Oliver Nickel has pursued two Master of Arts degrees at the University of Tübingen. The first was in Chinesische Studien (Chinese Studies), and the second was in American Studies.
