Didier Hélal

Didier Hélal has a long career in the technology industry. Didier began in 2000 with STMicroelectronics as an R&D RF System Design Engineer and Team Leader. Didier then became a Program Manager in 2009 at ST-Ericsson, and in 2013 they co-founded OrbiWise and held the roles of Strategic Accounts Senior Director and Ecosystem & Business Development. In 2020, they joined Empowerment Lab as a Board Member, and in 2022 they will become Chief Business Development Officer at Plair SA.

Didier Hélal obtained their PhD in Electronics, Radars for meteorology from the University of Toulon, France between 1996 and 2000. Prior to that, they obtained their DEA in Propagation, Telecommunication and Remote Sensing from the same university between 1994 and 1995. Didier also earned a Master of Science in Electronics from the University of Toulon, France in 1993. Didier also attended the CTI Entrepreneurship Busines Creation and Development program.
