Niina Ratilainen is a dedicated public policy specialist and political advocate with extensive experience in environmental, climate, and gender equality issues. Currently serving as a candidate for the European Parliament and co-president of the Greens in the European Committee of the Regions, Niina represents Finland while actively participating in two key commissions focused on environment and governance. Niina's experience includes roles as a public policy specialist with Plan International Finland and the Regional Council of Southwest Finland, as well as a visiting research scholar at the International Center for Climate Governance. Additionally, Niina holds a position as a city council member and spokesperson for the Green Parliamentary group in Turku and has previously contributed as an advocacy manager and political assistant. Niina's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Baltic Sea Region Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Development.
