Yannick Riesen

Yannick Riesen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in energy monitoring and digitalization projects. Since November 2016, Yannick has held leadership roles at Planair SA, including responsibilities for developing energy monitoring activities and algorithms aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability. Yannick has also managed various digital projects, supervised energy management implementations for Swiss companies, and coordinated the technical aspects of the IMPAWATT H2020 European project. Prior to this, Yannick served as a postdoctoral researcher and PhD student at EPFL, focusing on high-efficiency silicon solar cells and photovoltaic integration into electrical grids. Yannick's educational background includes a PhD in Material Science from EPFL and advanced degrees in Physics from ETH Zurich. Additionally, Yannick has experience in teaching mathematics, physics, and chemistry at the high school level.
