Al Boulier has held various positions in the analytics and finance industries over the past decade. In 2019, Al was appointed Vice President of Analytics at Planalytics and later Director of Analytics, where they led growth of Planalytics custom Weather Driven Demand retail analytics to over 1 trillion dollars of revenue over potentially billions of retail customers, and redesigned business processes to allow for greater than 10x growth in the number of products analyzed and forecasted. They also shepherded global expansion to new markets, tripling the number of potential retail customers. In 2017, Al co-founded Data Onion and served as the Director of Analytics, providing cutting edge deep-learning analytics to restaurants. From 2015 to 2017, Al worked at Moody’s Analytics as an Assistant Director of Credit Analytics and Economist, developing loan-level consumer credit models and simulations for a variety of loss-forecasting, stress testing, IFRS9 and CECL needs, as well as creating markov chain simulations for business and regulatory forecasting. In 2012, Al held the position of Senior Economic Research Analyst at the Federal Trade Commission. Prior to this, Al worked as a Bar Manager at El Ranchero Restaurant from 2006 to 2012, and as a Bartender at Ragtime Restaurant from 2008 to 2012.
Al Boulier obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics from George Mason University between 2005 and 2012. Al then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Business Analytics from The George Washington University between 2013 and 2015.
